Join Dr. Donald Janzen for this fascinating look through the lens of archeology at 10,000 of pre-historic life in the Falls of the Ohio region. Dr. Janzen will also discuss the role that the Knobs of Jefferson Memorial Forest played in the life of these early peoples. Dr. Janzen is a professional archaeologist and one of the early researchers active in Falls area archaeology. He worked on such outstanding sites as the Hornung Mound, the Ferry Landing Site, and the Prather Site. Formerly a professor with Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, Dr. Janzen returned to Louisville, where his rekindled interest in the local archaeology led him to write Unearthing the Past: The Archaeology of the Falls of the Ohio River Region – now available at the Welcome Center Gift Shop.
